Fourth of July Weekend is coming soon so I thought I’d share a super easy dip recipe for you to take to your Fourth of July celebration. Creamy Bacon Ranch Dip. Yum!
This recipe is perfect to make when you are on-the-go. I know sometimes you get last minute invites or your get busy and forget to prep a dish to take. This one requires nothing but four simple ingredients, a bowl and a spoon to mix them all up. You could even throw it together in the car.
You need: Sour Cream (16oz), Cheese (1 cup), Bacon Pieces (2.5oz), Ranch Dip Packet. Throw all the ingredients in a bowl and still until well blended. It’s really best to do the ranch dip packet first and get that blended before adding the bacon and cheese.
If you aren’t in a huge hurry, I like to chop up green onion to mix in or just use as a garnish. You could also use fresh cooked bacon instead of the pre-packaged kind.
The one caveat with this recipe is that it’s pretty salty. If you can find low-sodium cheese, bacon or ranch dip mix I would recommend doing so.
You could also try to skinny it up a little with turkey bacon, low-fat cheese and fat free sour-cream. But then again, it has bacon in it. When there’s bacon in a recipe, we all know it’s not part of any diet.
Here’s the printable version for you:
- Sour Cream (16oz)
- Cheese (1 cup)
- Bacon Pieces (2.5oz)
- Ranch Dip Packet
- Diced Green Onion (optional)
- Mix Sour Cream and Ranch Dip Packet until blended. Stir in cheese and bacon. Top with Green Onion if desired.
