Our Top 5 Recipe Posts

Sometimes getting your kids to drink milk is tough! With this simple 3 ingredient Homemade Nesquik they’ll be asking for more! Plus, unlike the store bought kind you know exactly what’s in it. You can use ordinary cocoa powder like Hershey’s but if you really want to kick it up a notch and make it decadent, use Scharffen Berger. Mmmm.

No Bake Peanut Granola Bars are on our after school snack menu. They’re quick and yummy! Whip up a batch to share before your next play date, This simple recipe is sure to please those little snackers. If you can muster up some restraint and don’t eat them all in one setting. Store them in an airtight container. They’ll last about a week on the counter.

Dulce de Leche is extremely easy to make at home, especially if you have a crock pot!  There are many recipes out there showing how to create it on a stove top or in the oven, however the easiest (and safest) way to create this treat is placing it in a crockpot overnight.  The great thing about using the crockpot is you use canning jars that seal automatically when you use this method.

We never buy steak seasoning at the grocery store. Why bother when you can make your own! Here’s my hubby’s recipe for steak seasoning. This Homemade Steak Seasoning great because you can control all the ingredients. You can cut the salt or swap the sugar for Stevia. Feel free to tweak it and make it your own but I think you’ll be pretty pleased with this as is. We love it!

Classic Pound Cake Recipe

This is my favorite recipe for Classic Pound Cake. It calls for a little more flour and sugar than the traditional pound. However the butter is less and you add in sour cream for moistness. I really dislike cakes with even a hint of dryness which is why I love adding sour cream. It doesn’t alter the flavor of the cake yet makes it perfectly moist.
