Start your day the healthy way with this Energy Smoothie Recipe. This fruit and veggie smoothie is packed with vitamins, antioxidants and is full of flavor.
I don’t know about you but this time of year is so tough for me! It stays light so late my kids go to bed later than they should. We have sports nearly every night. Then of course there’s homework and reading. And the pollen always makes my allergies bad. I’m seriously dragging every morning! That’s why I love this Energy Smoothie Recipe.
This fruit and veggie smoothie is packed with Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Potassium and antioxidants. Plus the honey gives the smoothie a little sweetness and is a well-known all-natural energy source. It’s a great way to start the day.
- 1 Large orange
- 2 Carrots
- 1 Banana
- 1 teaspoon Honey
- 1 cup Water
- Place all ingredients in the blender and Puree until desired consistency.
If you are thinking about using the Energy Smoothie Recipe for breakfast, I would recommend swapping the water for some almond milk instead. This makes it a little creamier and more filling. You can also use a frozen banana instead of a fresh one. This not only makes the smoothie a little thicker but it reduces the amount of banana taste.
This Energy Smoothie Recipe gives me an extra little boost to start the day and sometimes I might have one in the afternoon if I need a little pick-me-up to make it through the rest of the day.
