An Afternoon at Austin’s Park

The holidays are fast approaching. That mean hustle and bustle, presents to wrap, parties to attend and baking to do. It also means the kids are out of school for 2 weeks! Yikes! I usually find that in the week leading up to Christmas there is so much to do that everyone is always excited and occupied. However the week after Christmas is when boredom sets in. So I have a fun afternoon activity for you: Austin’s Park!

While you may have been to Austin’s Park before, you haven’t experienced the #NewMorePlace. Austin’s Park just hosted a grand re-opening over Thanksgiving break to celebrate their brand-new bowling alley and a fabulous new bar and grill! So if the all-you-can-eat pizza buffet isn’t your thing. You will definitely want to try the bar and grill.

I love this idea for a fun, holiday break activity. You can take the whole family and have an awesome experience. Grab some full-park passes for all the kids and let them have free reign at the pizza buffet. They can spend hours in the arcade, driving go-karts, playing miniature golf, laser tag, climbing the rock climbing wall  and riding the carnival-style rides.

While they are running around having a ball, you and your sweetheart can enjoy the diversity of options from the bar & grill.  The menu features organic and locally sourced ingredients and even gluten free options. We tried the street tacos when we visited and they were fabulous! And the Organic Chicken, Kale & Spinach Salad was delish. Once you’ve enjoyed some fabulous eats, head over to the bowling alley and play a few frames. It’s so easy to sneak in a date night even when the kids are there. Even better, grab another family to join you for a doubly awesome time. Austin’s Park is the perfect answer to post-holiday boredom for parents and kids!
