Are you one of those people, like me, that loves to read the book before you see the movie adaptation? There are some really popular books with movie adaptations set to release in 2016. If you are looking for a good book to read, check out this list of books becoming movies in 2016.
This might be one of the best years (in my opinion) for adapted screenplays. Some of my favorites on this list include, Me Before You, The Girl on the Train, Inferno, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and so many more. Plus there are some others I definitely want to read first like JK Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, How to Be Single and The Choice.

What Books Becoming Movies in 2016 are you most excited?
The verb “ensue” isn’t used that way. It means “occurs” or “results” or “commences”. You would never say “havoc happens this couple” or “havoc results this couple” or “havoc commences this couple.” These verbs simply don’t take an object.
Also, your synopsis of “Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them” leads me to conclude that you’ve never opened the book or even read anything about it, as the book itself is a “textbook” that Harry Potter uses, and contains no actual story.
Why are you so incredibly bitter? Shellie has simply listed all of the books that are becoming movies this year. She does not attempt to claim that she’s read them all and for you to assume so is just stupid, quite frankly. Just be grateful someone has listed them for you so you don’t have to go out of your way, jeez.
Thanks for the clarification Miranda. The description listed was for the movie since yes, the book itself is just a textbook and it’s hard to make a movie about a textbook! However, to avoid confusion, I updated the post to differentiate between the two.
I love this post! SO glad I found your blog through Pinterest. I’m really looking forward to fantastic beasts and where to find them and Miracles from Heaven!! I didn’t know that some of these movies were based on books so I’m going to have to add them to my reading list!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for putting this list together! I’m doing a big reading challenge this year & am definitely more motivated to read new books when there is a movie! You rock!
I would of loved to red your article however I was overwhelmed with advertising. Within the first second my screen went to half page because of an add. Then I had to click out of two pop up adds. I understand that these adds help pay for your life but is it really worth it of you lose readers because you were to concern with how many advertisement you can get on your page. What a sad world we live in.
Were you on a mobile device? I have been having problems with them overloading and am working with my ad provider to stop that from happening. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. I certainly don’t enjoy those types of ads myself and I completely understand how frustrating that is!
Wow:-) This is so cool. Im a bit disappointed that Inferno is still for October but Peculiar Children… Never thought it will be on the movies this year.. Nevertheless this is all pretty exciting!
I’ve been so excited for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them ever since I saw the trailer! I’m trying not to get my hopes up too high since Hollywood has a bad habit of disappointing me nowadays, but I still can’t wait for it to finally come out 🙂
