On Monday I told you about the Tyson® Project A+™ program and how it’s one of the simplest ways to support your school. Collect labels from participating packages of Tyson products and turn them in to your school. For each label submitted, Tyson® will give cash to the school to spend on anything they need. It’s truly a simple way to give back.
One reason I love the Tyson® Project A+™ program is because it’s NOT restricted to public schools! The Tyson® Project A+™ program is open to all accredited schools, preschool through grade 12, in the United States — including public, private, parochial, homeschool, and early childhood education and day care centers. This is great news because my son goes to a private Kindergarten and it’s so nice to be able to collect labels for our school!
Right now the Tyson® Project A+™ program and Walmart are hosting a Head Start Contest. Winning schools will receive $1,000 worth of extra labels! To get started:
- Visit Walmart’s Tyson® Project A+™ page
- Share why your school deserves a head start on the labels
- Share this page with friends on Facebook so they can vote for you school.
- The top 5 schools each win $1000 worth of extra labels
See how easy that is!? Then keep adding to your schools stash of labels by purchasing participating Tyson® products. My son’s school wasn’t registered so I signed them up. It took less than 5 minutes. Since they are new to the program, I think they should definitely get a head start, don’t you?
Now as you begin collecting your labels, think outside the lunch box! Tyson® Chicken Nuggets aren’t just for lunch or a quick dinner. Let me share with you my own kids’ all time favorite way to eat nuggets: Mini Chicken and Waffles!
Mini Chicken and Waffles are a quick breakfast idea that is different from the usual bowl of cereal or frozen waffles. It’s just as easy to make and my kids beg for them. I typically make them on the weekends but sometimes I’ll surprise them during the week. They are the easiest thing the whip up:
- Tyson® Chicken Nuggets
- Mini Frozen Waffles
- Cook the Tyson® Chicken Nuggets according to package directions.
- Cook the mini waffles according to package directions.
- Cut the nuggets in half and place each on the waffle and use the toothpick to keep them together.
- Drizzle with syrup and serve.
One reason I love these Mini Chicken & Waffles is that it’s easy for my boys to eat. They are little bite size pieces and I don’t have to worry about cutting it up. They can eat them without any help from me.
Grab a package of Tyson® Chicken Nuggets on your next Walmart trip and give these Mini Chicken and Waffles a try for breakfast. Just don’t forget to clip your Tyson® Project A+™ label from the package!
